Snow has affected too much of the UK this year, and for us as a church community it has affected us. Crawley and Horsham have been worst areas hit in this part of the world, and whilst main roads have been dealt with, side roads, pavements and more have not been at all safe to walk on or attempt. Many schools have been closed. For us this past week we did manage to meet together on Tuesday to enjoy a cleaning day!!!! But after that the snow hit, and those arriving for band practise that evening, were sent home as fear held that they may have to spend a whole night under the same roof if they did not get out quick. Throughout the week all activities and events were cancelled, and even those who hire our hall in the week, also cancelled their groups and activities. As wonderful as our building is, our car park and surrounding paths, were heavily affected, and it was impossible to be able to attempt to do something with just a couple of people available and one shovel between them. Monitoring the situation throughout the week, in consultation with the church leadership, it was relunanctly decided that we would need to cancel Sunday Worship due to the danger posed by our car park and paths. Our guests, Majors Telfer, kindly granted us an alternative date for two weeks time. We are yet unsure about what will take place this week, but contact your group leaders for information updates.
